Rachelle Puccini is a versatile violinist known for her captivating performances as a recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral artist. With a passion for connecting deeply with her audience, she has performed in renowned venues across the United States and internationally. Rachelle is equally dedicated to her role as a pedagogue, offering clinics and masterclasses that reflect her thoughtful approach to violin education. Her pedagogical contributions have been shared widely at events such as ASTA in San Francisco, OMEA in Ohio, TMEA in Texas, The Midwest Clinic in Chicago, and many others across the U.S., Canada, and the Dominican Republic.
Past highlights include recording and filming Fratres by Arvo Pärt with pianist and filmmaker Paul Hamilton, performing with the Munich Symphony during their five-week U.S. tour, playing at Carnegie Hall with the Oistrakh Symphony, serving as soloist and concertmaster for the Whiting Park Symphony Orchestra, and participating in the Fundacion Sinfonia’s biennial Orchestra Festival, which showcased world-renowned soloists and conductors.
Rachelle’s teaching is informed by her years of study under distinguished violinists, including Olga Kaler, Gerardo Ribeiro at Northwestern University, and Dylana Jenson at Grand Valley State University. She holds a Master’s degree in Violin Performance and Pedagogy from Northwestern and a Bachelor’s in Violin Performance from Grand Valley State University. Rachelle is an Eastman artist who teaches and performs with a Raul Emiliani Eastman violin at all her educational engagements. She currently teaches at the Music Institute of Chicago and maintains a thriving private studio in the Chicago area.
A dedicated performer, Rachelle plays on a 2015 Samuel Zygmuntowicz violin, crafted especially for her. She, her husband Dorival Puccini founder of Axiom Brass, their two children and two Great Danes live outside of Chicago. In addition to her life as a musician Rachelle enjoys painting, cycling, and staying active through the occasional triathlon.
